Werner's Oven

About a month ago, DD and am finally went to Werner's Oven at Siglap for dinner. You guys can check out their webbie at http://www.wernersoven.com.sg/index.html for the full menu and pricing. We had German Potato Salad ($6.50), am had Grünkohl mit Rauchwurst und Kassler (smoked sausage & smoked pork loin served with green kale & sauteed potatoes, $23.50) and DD had Cheese Sausage ($21.50).

German Potato Salad. Abit of a sour-ish taste to it. Very appetising indeed. Not bad though.

Am Grünkohl mit Rauchwurst und Kassler (smoked sausage & smoked pork loin served with green kale & sauteed potatoes). Super duper delicious. Pork loin are fatty and juicy and tender. Love the sauteed potatoes and the green kal. The green kale tasted almost like the Chinese mashed up vegetables MUI-CAI, which normally people will eat with porridge. Smoke sausage was simply too delicious too.

Next up was DD Cheese Sausages with mashed potato. Nice and delicious cheesy sausage. Their mashed potatoes goes very well with the sausages.

Overall, it was an enjoyable and full!! dinner. The price was quite acceptable for the portions of each meal was quite big. Thanks to Elaine for the great recommendation!

Check out the side dishes below. Busy am forgot to take the pictures for the saba and pancake. Am loves their pancake, and would always order this dish everytime when am is there. All the bbq dishes are well marinade. Loves their beef and pork. Juicy and tender! And the best part was the staff will help us with the bbq-ing, and we just have to fulfill our duty to finish it!

It was an enjoyable night with many laughters and silly games!

Gayatri Restaurant

Hey Peeps! Long time no see! Anyway am is back and will be back with a vengence! Anyway, monday (22/09/08) dinner was at Gayatri Restaurant with Arthy Babe ad Usha Babe! We are finally back at the restaurant after one year later. Gayatri are famous for their curry fish head promotion on every Monday and Wednesday whole day, curry fish head only cost $15. Last year the curry fish head only cost $10. We have ordered Chicken Masala ($4.50), Mutton Mysore($5), and am ordered my favourite Butter Naan($2.50).

'Press Button for Quick Service'

Free-flow of Keeropok. Although there's a proper name to it, but am dunno how to spell. Maybe usha or arthy babe can help me with the spelling heeeeheee..

Our star, Curry Fish Head!!! Was quite a big portion for the 3 of us, but we did managed to finish all up muahahahaha...I loveeee the curry. It goes very well with my naan, keeropok and rice.

Chicken Masala, am didn't quite like this dish because the chicken was served cold to us and the chicken wasn't tender enough.

Mutton Mysore, am like the muttons! Like the spicies that goes very well with the mutton.

My favourite, Butter Naan. Yummy yummy naan that goes very well with the curry.

Coffee Beans by Dao at Central World Bangkok

Dear darling and am went for a 1 day shopping trip in Bangkok on Saturday, it was a tiring, tiring and tiring trip hhhahahahahahaha. We literally dragged 2 BIG luggage bag and walk around in Chatuchak. A BIG thanks to DD, who have helped me carried the luggages all the way. Those arms are not big for nothing! heh heh. DD's cousin met us in the afternoon, and before we left for the airport, we've managed to squeeze some time for Central World. Llalalalalalalalaala.

Dinner was at Coffee Bean by Dao (not our coffee bean outlets in Singapore) at Central World. Heard from DD's cousin, this restaurant serves the best cake in Bangkok! They have 3 outlets in Bangkok.

DD had Pad-thai with prawns, am had Fried Wanton Pad-thai with prawns, Cousin & gf had Black squid spaghetti. And for the cakes, DD had Caramel Cheesecake, am had White Strawberry Cheesecake, Cousin had Blueberry cheesecake and gf had mango mousse.

Am's Fried Wanton Pad-Thai. The whole plate DID NOT CONSISTS of any kway-tiao. The plate is full of fried wanton skin, prawns, tau-gey, and spicy sauce. Hahahahaha. Am almost lost my voice after finished eating. Hahahahaha.

DD's Pad-Thai with prawns. His plate was full of kway-tiao and prawns.

Both Pad-thai was not bad, except that their sauce was very spicy! Totally different from the pad-thai we have in Singapore.

Cousin & gf Black Squid Spaghetti. Didn't managed to try it, but looks yummy! Check out the big prawn head and tail. Ha!

DD's Caramel Cheesecake. Yummy! I loveeeeeee their caramel nuts. It has a sweet and unique taste.

GF's mango mousse. Very nice too. The mousse literally just melts in your mouth.

Am White Strawberry cheesecake. YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY YUMMY!!!!! The strawberries are sweet, and the cheesecake is superb !!! And to make the cake even better, they added caramel into the crust of the cheesecake, which brings out the sweetness of the cake. So far the best strawberry cheesecake am had ever tried.

Cousin's Blueberry cheesecake. It was his favourite. It was very delicious too. But too small of a piece for me. Hahahahaha.

The cakes at Coffee Bean are indeed very nice! Am think the prices are quite reasonable too. Hahahaa. I ordered without looking at the prices.

Seng Kee Black Herbal Chicken Soup

Sunday dinner was with DD's mama and younger sister. We went to eat DD's mama favourite Pig Kidney's Mee Sua, is also one of am's favourite. But i will always request not to have the pig kidney's and replace it with more lean pork meat. This stall is always crowded with people during dinner dinner, so do get there earlier if you want to have seats. The stall is open till 4am everyday!

We ordered 4 Mee Sua, Chicken Floss with Beancurd, Hei-Chou and Fried Prawn Omelette.

Mee Sua, they are famous for their herbal soup base with mee sua. Nice!!! One mee sua cost only $3.50. But if you have it at their other stall at Bedok North Blk 511 Hawker, one mee sua cost only $3.

Beancurd with Chicken Floss. It a must have dish!!! The beancurd are fried till soft and tender and goes well with the chicken floss, esp with their special sauce too.

Their famous Hei-Chou. I love to eat the archar at the side. The Hei-Chou are fried till golden brown and very crispy outside. Remember always to dip the hei-chou with the sweet sauce.

Yum Yum Thai and Peaberry & Pretzel

Sorry all, am was a lil bit late for these post, cuz am was very busy with am shopping online http://www.amfeelsgood.blogspot.com/ (hahahah a lil advertising again) and school work. Ok here are the food!!! DD came and pick me up from school on last Saturday evening and we decided to makan at sunset way, since there's lots of recommendation of good restaurants in Sunset Way.

DD had been craving for Thai Food ever since we came back from Bangkok, and he suggested we try the thai restaurant YUM YUM THAI at Sunset Way. So as a thoughtful and considerate gf, i follow his suit. For your infor, we had thai food for 2 consecutive Saturdays muahahahahahhahaha. DD ordered his usual Pad Thai ($8), am ordered Thai Fried Rice ($8) and we both shared a TOM YUM GONG ($8), DD also ordered Red Ruby ($3.50) for his dessert.

The not so nice to drink, Tom Yum Gong. The Soup was kindda blend and there isn't much thing in there either. Except the fact, there was lotsa of prawns inside it and maybe 2-3 mushrooms in it. Hahaahahaha. More like prawn soup to me.

DD's Pad Thai. Am guessed all Pad Thai taste the same rite? Cuz am couldn't differentiate what is nice or not nice Pad Thai. Hhahahahah. This was not bad, tasted almost the same as Thai Express.

Am Thai Fried Rice. Haiz disappointed. The fried rice tasted just like the fried rice am bought at zi-char stall. Hahahahah. I was hoping that the rice might taste something with abit of thai flavour, hmmz such as spicy or with lemon grass scent or something like that. Hahaha should have ordered Pineapple Rice, at least i have pineapple for the vitamins muahahah ok am talking crap here. It tasted just like any other fried rice but the portion was quite big.

Am probably thinks this restaurant is good for their Ala-carte dishes, because am saw many people ordered Ala-carte to go with their white rice. So probably, DD and am made a wrong choice? Will give it a try again.

DD's Red Ruby.

Next up was dessert at Peaberry & Pretzel. Am heard some much bout P & P and decided to give it a try and they have also appeared on a few television programmes before. Check out their webbie, http://www.peaberryandpretzel.com.sg/index.html. They served meals too.

DD ordered PP Signature Tiramisu ($6.05) and am ordered Dessert Platter for 1 ($15.40).

Am wasn't interested in taking DD's half-face half body pic, or rather am was taking the pic of the glass shelf. They displayed their tiramisu and cakes on the glass shelf, the decor of the restaurant was a lil old school added a lil bit of modern decor in it which am like

DD's Tiramisu. Nice!!! 4 Thumbs up!!! The tiramisu literally just melts in your mouth.

Am's Dessert Platter for 1. Wah!!! Am just like a lil gal when am saw the desserts!! Muahahahahha. All the chef's specialities. DD also couldn't resists the temptation and shared the dessert with me.

The one on the top right was mud ooze, tasted exactly the same like the one we had at Miss Clarity. The rest of the dessert has a lil bit of alcohol in it, which brings out the flavour of the dessert. We finished everything that was on the plate except the carrot cake in the middle. Cuz DD and am are not a big fan of ANG MO CARROT CAKE. hahahaaahahaha.

The service at PP was excellent. They had one service crew at each station to attend to your needs. Hhahahaha and they kept re-filling our iced-water.

Did am also mentioned that all the restaurants in Sunset Way has an AL-fresco dining outside? A nice environment to have your dinner and dessert!!! But beware of BIG MOSQUITO.

Dear Darling couldn't get enough of thai food, in fact we were both quite sick after we came back from BKK, too much sinful thai food hahahahhaa. So Saturday dinner was at Thai Express at Marina Square. GG also joined us for dinner. We have also ordered a Mini Steamboat ($13.90), Prawn Toast ($6.90) and Lemon Drumlette ($6.90).

Our Mini Steamboat, which includes chicken, fish, tang-hoon, squids, mushrooms and prawns. Not forgetting the tom yum soup. Quite worth it. You can add in more chilli padi if you want it to be even spicier. Nice.

DD and am favourite prawn toast. DD loves their sweet sauce.

Lemon Drumlettes. New dishes added to the menu. Not too bad.

DD's Beef Phai Thai.

GG's Curry Soft-shell crabs with rice.
